What Are Affirmations and How Do They Work?

There is a lot of talk about affirmations and what they can do for you, but there is also a lot of conflicting advice and information about what they really are and their real power. Now, you can find websites or people that will declare that affirmations are like magical spells that will change your life simply through repetition and recitation of these phrases or words.

The truth is that they are not magical spells at all. They are merely a tool that you can use for changing your life. But, the repetition and recitation of these affirmative phrases alone will not change your life at all. Affirmations should be used to break through your limiting thoughts or beliefs and help to create new and more beneficial trains of though or beliefs.

WHAT IS THE REAL "MAGIC?"

The real magic is not in the words themselves but in the new ways of thinking that they can help you to create. But of course thinking alone is not enough. You cannot just think your way to becoming what you want to be in life. You also have to be able to take action based on that thought that will produce the life or the results that you are looking for.

You can use affirmations or affirmative phrases to help create change and make a new life for yourself, but you cannot rely on these words alone. Words without action have no true meaning and they will not produce the results that you are after.
