Article Writing Tips - Finding Interesting Things to Write About

One of the biggest complaints I hear from article writers is that they can't think of things to write about. Eventually, they just run out of ideas. Well, if you're one of those folks who draws a blank whenever you hit that old word processor, never fear. I'm going to give you a few solid tips that should help you find more than enough interesting subjects to write about. Follow these words of wisdom and you'll be cranking out articles like there is no tomorrow.

One way to come up with fascinating article ideas is to find out what it is that people are interested in. How do you do that? Well, one was is by going to Google's Hot Trends site. There you will find, updated on an hourly basis, the hottest searches that day. And let me tell you, they run the gamut from politics to holidays to movies to...you name it. If you can't find something interesting to write about at Google Hot Trends, then you're simply not trying.

Another way to come up with great article ideas is by watching the TV or listening to the radio. Entertainment is big in our world and there isn't a minute of the day that somebody isn't entertaining us with something. I've written dozens of articles in one day alone just from watching the morning news. You'd be surprised all the different topics that are covered in an hour. Again, if you can't get ideas from the media, you're not trying.

Finally, why not just go online and see what other people are writing about? Go to the top article directories like Ezine Articles and see what the most recent articles are. You're bound to get plenty of ideas just from doing this. Just make sure you don't steal somebody else's article. That is NOT cool and you'll get in a boat load of trouble for doing it if you're caught.

There should never be a reason for not being able to think of something interesting to write about. By using Hot Trends, watching the tube and just reading other articles, you should come up with plenty of stuff to write about.
